Steph Yin is a science writer, producer and educator based in Philadelphia, by way of New York and Providence. She is a weekly contributor to The New York Times, and her work has also appeared in Popular Science, Scientific American, Quanta Magazine, TED, Audubon and Motherboard, among other publications. In the past, she has written and produced multimedia for Argonne National Laboratory and Brown University's Swearer Center for Public Service. She has a graduate degree in journalism from New York University and a B.Sc. in environmental science from Brown University. In her spare time she enjoys martial arts and being outdoors out with her dog. Though nowadays she spends her time doing journalism, she really dreams of creating a traveling puppet show about science. Everyone is invited to help paper mâché, play music and boogie.
